Manning’s Appliance was founded in 1954 by Don (Ace) Manning in the Manette area of Bremerton. The business moved from Manette to Callow Ave and was passed on to Don Manning, Jr.. Larry was hired by Don Jr. in 1986 and he purchased the service portion of the business and name in 1994.
After owning Manning’s Appliance Service for 19 years, in early 2013, Larry Wells hired on his first technician. Drew Brown, his son-in-law, trained with him for nearly two years and acquired his own electrician certificate. Starting in late 2014, Larry became the dedicated refrigeration technician and Drew took over the work on all the other appliances. Also in the fall of 2014, Larry hired his daughter, Becky Brown, as the Office Manager. In the summer of 2022 he was lucky enough to bring on another daughter, Chelsea Walsh, to help with the office work. 2025 brought a passing of the baton to the next generation with the sale of the business to Becky and Drew. Larry, is now enjoying his deserved retirement and Drew is our only technician. Of course this hasn't stopped the shop talk at weekly family dinners. The Browns are excited about this new step and look forward to continuing to serve our community. |
We provide in-home service on most major kitchen and laundry appliances. Drew has over 13 years of appliance repair experience here in Kitsap County and he maintains an electrician certification for appliance repair from the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries.
Drew was knowledgeable, efficient, honest, friendly and professional. Prices were also very reasonable. I'm a property manager and have hired a LOT of people. He's the real deal. Will absolutely use again! We had an issue with our LG gas oven. They were available, knowledgeable, punctal, efficient, well priced. I was extremely impressed and would give them the highest marks. |

Drew was super-efficient, knowledgeable and did a great job for us! Was a miracle we didn't have a house fire with all the problems of our Whirlpool dryer! Thanks again, We called for a washer that kept shutting off. They were able to get us in I think 2 days after I called. The technician had it diagnosed in the first 5 minutes, he had brought parts with him so he had what he needed. He was done within half an hour of arriving and it's been working well ever since. |
